Joyfully Kind is a lifestyle blog dedicated to being a source of inspiration for women who love leadership, organization, beauty, home decor and family life.

I started blogging in 2013 under a different blog name, and then took a break for about a year to finish planning my wedding & get settled into married life (pictures below). Over that year I grew both personally & professionally and decided to start blogging again by launching Joyfully Kind.

Where did the name Joyfully Kind come from?

Since I was little, I have always wanted other people to experience what I am excited about. If there is something I’m loving, I want you to know about it incase it brings you joy too. It’s natural, you share with others what you’re excited about.

I knew in my heart I was also compelled to talk about kindness. I believe kindness is a spiritual muscle. We have to practice it so we get better and better.

We as humans have ways of rippling out in this world in a way we aren’t even conscious of. Because of this, we have a responsibility to not hurt people. Part of my ongoing lesson: Be kind. Be gentle. Don’t harm people with words or actions. Be present and be a loving being 100% of the time. I think it’s one of the biggest lessons in life.

A few random things about me: Some of my favorite things include planners, purple colored anything, list making, leadership content, and technology that simplifies life. Food wise, my favorites include: Triscuit Crackers, Vanilla Coke, strawberries and popcorn. I tend to accidentally accumulate colorful pens, paper goods like notecards, cute kitchen towels, cocktail napkins with sayings, pretty coats/jackets, cups and hair clips.
